Ted Eyles 80th Birthday
Ted Eyles has a long history with the society. He was surprised with a birthday cake at the Christmas Social and every one there applauded his service to Bath Photographic Society.
Ted joined the society around 1973 and volunteered for the role of Programme Secretary very quickly. He then had a spell as President from 1982 - 1985. The tenure of the President's role is always limited to three years. In 1986 he stepped in as Temporary Treasurer as there were no other volunteerers, and stills fills that role today. With no previous experience he improved the state of the finances in a very short time. Over the years the role of the Treasurer has increased, due to Ted's willingness to take jobs on, and now includes the raffle. He regularily highlights regulations required by the club and organises the insurance and keeps tight, updated control over members lists. He has also been a trustee for many years.
In 2019 he was awarded Honorary Membership of the BPS as recognition of his services to the club. We wish him many more healthy years and please don't give up the Treasurers role.
